Loyalty may be our business, but around the holidays we like to think of loyalty as a means of giving back, too.
Points has been a proud sponsor of Give A Mile since 2018. The charity, founded in 2013, coordinates unused and donated frequent flyer points and miles to purchase flights to connect people in palliative or critical care with their loved ones. Each flight of compassion covers round-trip travel so that families can focus on what matters most: sharing final moments with their loved ones.
To date, Give A Mile has coordinated over 913 flights of compassion across over 151 countries and has supported countless families with the gift of peace and a last goodbye.
Since last year, Points has had the honour of enabling 46 families of terminally-ill patients to be with their loved ones in their final days. This year, we are working with Give A Mile to support their 2022 Holiday Campaign. The goal: 50 flights awarded, 15 Flight Heroes, and two million loyalty points donated!
